Nestled in among the snowgums, snow-fed alpine streams and the high plains, Dinner Plain is surrounded by the vast Alpine National Park. In winter the area is a white winter wonderland with a seemingly endless network of snow tracks and trails. After spending the afternoon exploring some of these trails during light snow falls I captured these snow gums. The recent snow and low cloud created great light, highlighting the twisted trunks and coloured bark that make snow gums so great to photograph in winter.
