London Arch

Port Campbell National Park, Victoria, Australia

The London Arch is a natural arch and one of the many tourist attractions in the Port Campbell National Park along the Great Ocean Road. The stack was formed by a gradual erosion process and until 1990 formed a complete double-span natural bridge. The arch closest to the shoreline collapsed unexpectedly on 15 January 1990. Prior to the collapse the arch was known as the London Bridge.

In this shot I wanted to capture the details of the arch and shoreline cliffs, clearly showing the arch amongst the rough waters of the Great Southern Ocean.
