On a cold and cloudy Spring morning, the pre dawn light cast pastel colours on Coles Bay and the surrounding coastal bushland. I wanted to capture the simplicity of this pier protruding into Coles bay, while firmly placing the image within its stunning surrounds - the pink granite rocks of the shoreline edge are a feature of the world-renowned Freycinet National Park.
