The Canberra Festival Balloon Spectacular is an annual event held on the lawns in front of Old Parliament House. Balloons inflate at sunrise each morning (weather permitting), and after a gentle lift off, fly over Lake Burley Griffin and the city. The balloons come from all over Australia and overseas.
On this morning, I was greeted with beautiful early morning that light up the National library and the balloons above, while the calm waters of Lake Burley created brilliant reflections. When you get such great light like this, it truly is a spectacular sight seeing the balloons slowly drift across Canberra.
